Preparing for the Occupational Therapy National Board Exam: 45 Days and Counting, Second Edition is a comprehensive overview for occupational therapist students preparing to take the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam. Unlike other OT exam review guides, Preparing for the Occupational Therapy National Board Exam: 45 Days and Counting, Second Edition chooses to provide a more organized, methodological approach including a detailed calendar and plan of study for the 45 days leading up to the exam. The Second Edition incorporates chapter outlines on subject matter students have learned throughout their occupational therapy curricula. These curricula all draw from a lexicon taken from the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (AOTA, 2008), so the language is consistent between the book and the students’ academic experience. Like the First Edition, each chapter in the Second Edition will be divided into subjects and each subject will address the percentage of each domain area according to the amount each domain is presented on the NBCOT examination (NBCOT, 2012). Additionally, workbook pages throughout each chapter include specific references and page numbers used in occupational therapy curricula throughout the United States enabling additional exploration of content that is challenging or unfamiliar or both.
